Yuliya Denysenko
Clinical Psychologist (M.Sc.)
Hello my dears,
I am Yuliya, a Clinical Psychologist (M.Sc.), dedicated to helping adults and individuals in transition phases, including expats and those feeling stuck or out of place.
My journey began in Ukraine, where I was born and partially raised, before moving to Germany, where I spent the rest of my childhood and early adulthood. I completed my degree in Clinical Psychology there, gaining international experience through stays in the USA, Taiwan, Spain, and Portugal. These diverse experiences have deepened my understanding of various psychological approaches, methods, cultural norms, and nuances, allowing me to appreciate the unique backgrounds of my clients and integrate them into our work together.
I believe it’s essential to consider not just the individual but also the broader context: their personal history, social and family networks, and the internal patterns shaped in response to them. My goal is to help you explore the significance and meaning behind these influences, so you can better understand yourself and navigate life’s challenges with clarity and confidence.
Five Facts About Me
🌍 I’ve lived in six different countries—Ukraine, Germany, USA, Taiwan, Spain, and Portugal until the age of 25—so I know what it feels like to adapt to new places!
📖 I have an identical sister who grew up in Ukraine while I grew up in Germany. We were reunited when we were 15, which deeply shaped how I see the world and how I think about nature vs. nurture. It made me realize that some things are not easily explainable and often "given" as the essence of a person when we are born, rather than learned ; and that certain influences can't be explained just by experiences.
🧠 I am a problem solver who loves thinking analytically while staying open-minded. As a child, I always wanted to be a doctor, but when I discovered psychology, I knew it was for me—because in my eyes, it has no limits. Everything and everyone is in a constant process of change, which makes it incredibly exciting (and sometimes also really difficult)!
🍽️ I love weird foods! I’m always up for trying something new, and if it’s healthy, you’ve already won me over.
🦋 I have a deep love for animals and feel empathy for any creature, no matter how small—even insects.
